An Adventerous week

We had an adventerous week this week. It all started out with the misplacement of the tv remote. It is amazing how fast things can disappear and stay that way once Ellie gets invovled. She sure knows how to make things disappear without a trace and when you ask her where they are, she throws her hands up in her "I don't know" pose and says "huh" in her cute high pitched voice.
Ellie is think has some dreams of being a rodeo star. She has been riding her ponies into exhastion. She loves to ride and bounce along with all her energy. It is so funny to watch her. She has such joy and excitement on her face that you can't help but laugh while she is riding.
We have discovered the book If you give a cat a cupcake. It is about giving a cat a cupcake and what will happen. Its like if you give a mouse a cookie. She loves it because the cat in it looks like Diablo and if you ask her who the kitty is, she will tell you it is Diablo.
Elle's vocabulary is getting larger every day. She has so many new words, but of course she has to be stubborn and not talk when you ask her to. She yells at Jake to stop it if he is barking and she yells at the cats to get down if they get on the counters or the table. She is quite the bossy little girl. Ellie is evening telling us what to do part of the time.
She is learning the Disney princesses. She can say Belle and Ariel, but having a hard time with the others. She will point them out to you in pictures and ask for their movies or books to be read to her.
We have discovered the wonderful world of Shrek this week too. She loves to watch them almost as much as Mickey Mouse and she will laugh when the characters are being silly.
I think perhaps the most fun on this adventure week is when she stole my pork lo meing from me and finished eating it. I guess this means that Miss Ellie Belle likes to eat chinese food.
We are having so much fun this week. I hope you all enjoyed reading about her week.

Better late than never

I know it has been a while since I posted a blog, but life happens when you are busy making plans. Ellie is as spunky as always and had blast with Christmas. She understood the unwrapping presents and went over board with unwrapping everyone's presents. She got some great toys from everyone and the cutest clothes. Elle has added some new words to her vocabulary and is great at telling me no and uh-uh. She makes her daddy go where she wants him too and has a way of making him stay there. I can't believee how much she is growing up. She has a great sense of humorr and is so animated that she is constantly making us all laugh.
We had our first trip to the movies on Monday. It was good for the most part. We had to get up and walk up and down the stairs a bit and then of course we had to run around the back hallway of the theater, but we had a great time eating popcorn and watching Disney's Princess and the Frog. Yes, we did watch most of the movie. I can't wait for the next kids movie to come out so we can go see one again.
